XP
The Clober XP System measures user contribution across all major activities on the protocol. XP is calculated as a weighted sum of four point types. Each point type reflects a different dimension of participation, such as liquidity provision, trading activity, and perpetuals engagement.
XP is displayed on the frontend using the formula below.
The coefficients p, q, r, and s will be announced at the end of the season.
Users can track their accumulated raw points and share values during the season, but the final XP score will only be known once the coefficients are published.
All activity is counted retroactively from the moment Clober launches on Monad mainnet, even if the XP program was announced later.
Program Duration
The XP accumulation period lasts for up to 180 days beginning from the launch of Clober on Monad mainnet.
The team may choose to end the season earlier if necessary.
Point Categories
XP is composed of four categories.
- Vault Point
- Volume Point
- Perp PnL Share (%)
- Perp Volume Share (%)
Each category follows its own measurement rules, described below.
Vault Point
Vault Point is allocated daily. Each day, a fixed global amount of Vault Point is distributed across all vaults according to allocation coefficients. The team may adjust allocation ratios between vaults at any time. For example, emissions that were once split 50:50 across two vaults can later be divided into three vaults, or weighted more heavily toward a specific vault.
Within each vault, Vault Point is distributed proportionally based on each user’s time weighted share of liquidity during that day.
Example
If the ETH-USDC Vault distributes 100,000 Vault Points in one day, and a user provides 1 percent of the time-weighted liquidity, that user receives 1 percent of the daily emissions, which is 1,000 points.
Key Properties
- Daily emissions are fixed in total amount.
- Vault allocations between pools may change.
- Liquidity share is time-weighted.
- Early participation can earn more points because TVL is lower in the early stage of the season.
Volume Point
Volume Point is allocated daily. A fixed daily amount is distributed based on each user’s share of total trading volume for that day.
Only trades involving whitelisted assets count toward Volume Point. This prevents users from generating artificial volume using meaningless tokens.
The whitelist is shown in the table below and may expand in the future.

Note: Additional approved assets may be added later.
Example
If 100,000 Volume Points are emitted for the day and total qualifying trading volume is 100,000,000 dollars, a user who trades 1,000,000 dollars receives 1,000 points.
Key Properties
- Daily emissions are fixed.
- Only whitelisted assets count.
- Early participation may be more effective because volume is lower.
Perp PnL Share (%)
Perp PnL Share (%) represents a user’s share of the absolute realized PnL generated by all perpetual traders during the season.
Realized PnL is converted to an absolute value before aggregation. Gains and losses contribute equally, since both reflect trading activity and risk-taking.
Negative PnL does not reduce XP. It only increases the user’s contribution share with respect to its absolute value.
At the end of the season, each user’s Perp PnL Share (%) is calculated as:
User Perp PnL Share (%) = (User absolute realized PnL) / (Total absolute realized PnL of all users)
Example
If the total absolute realized PnL from all users is $5,000,000, and a user produces $50,000 in absolute realized PnL, their Perp PnL Share (%) is 1%.
Key Properties
- Uses absolute realized PnL only.
- Unrealized PnL is ignored.
- Losses do not reduce XP.
- Points are allocated based on share of total activity over the entire season.
Perp Volume Share (%)
Perp Volume Share (%) represents a user’s share of the total notional perpetual trading volume during the season.
Every filled perpetual trade is counted by its notional size. Maker and taker trades are treated equally.
At the end of the season, each user’s Perp Volume Share (%) is calculated as:
User Perp Volume Share (%) = (User total notional perp volume) / (Total notional perp volume of all users)
Example
If total season-long perp volume is 10 billion dollars and a user trades 100 million dollars in notional volume, their Perp Volume Share (%) is 1 percent.
Key Properties
- Maker and taker volume count equally.
- Based on total season-long notional volume.
- Encourages consistent perp participation throughout the season.
Summary of Emission Logic
| Category | Timing of Emissions | Basis of Distribution |
|---|---|---|
| Vault Point | Daily fixed emissions | Time weighted liquidity share in each vault |
| Volume Point | Daily fixed emissions | Share of protocol trading volume using whitelisted assets |
| Perp PnL Share (%) | Season long allocation | Share of total absolute realized PnL across all users |
| Perp Volume Share (%) | Season long allocation | Share of total notional perpetual volume across all users |
Early Participation Advantage
Because both Vault Point and Volume Point distribute a fixed number of points per day, users who participate earlier tend to earn more points relative to their activity. When total TVL and trading volume are still low, each user captures a larger portion of the daily emissions.
Final XP Calculation
At the end of the season, coefficients p, q, r, and s will be announced. XP will then be computed using the formula shown on the frontend.
Users can monitor their raw points and share metrics in real time, but the final XP score is determined only after coefficient publication.
